Biography
Sarah Arnold, a native of Greencastle, Indiana, began her performance career in 2015 when she received the supporting role of Lucinda in Into the Woods at her local community theatre, sparking a passion and love for theatre. Before graduating high school in 2016, she starred as Amy March at the same theatre. Sarah attended Anderson University, graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre. She received multiple performance based scholarships during her college career and won first place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition in 2016.

She has had the honor of performing in ensembles throughout her college career and has sung several notable pieces, including Mozart’s Requiem and Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna with the Anderson University Chorale and the Carmel Symphony Orchestra at the Carmel Palladium in 2019. She went on tour with the same chorale in 2019, singing at many churches, including North United Methodist Church (located in downtown Indianapolis), and the historic Trinity Episcopal Church (located in New Orleans). She performed in concert with renowned singer and actress Lynelle Jonsson in the Anderson University Centennial Concert with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra in 2017. She also served as a paid member of the Anderson First United Methodist Church choir in Anderson, Indiana from 2017-2020.

Sarah performed in a wide variety of shows during her time at Anderson University, including four operas, a play, and two musicals. She has a versatile voice, and her beautiful soprano range and strong mix have allowed her to play many types of roles in many genres of shows. Notable credits include Mrs. Gobineau in Menotti’s The Medium (February 2020), the Narrator in Dennis Arlan’s Meanwhile, Back at Cinderella’s (March 2018), Norma Henshaw in The Diviners (December 2017), and featured ensemble in the musical Violet (September 2018). She also enjoys film, having appeared in a student short film during her time at Anderson University, and she intends to not only pursue a career in theatre but in film and television as well. Sarah is moving to Indianapolis in late 2020 and is looking forward to pursuing a career in film, television, and theatre in the Indianapolis area.
